Prather Racing
Starts 2007 SCCA Season With Texas Wins
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (March
11, 2007) -- Prather Racing's Jesse and Kent Prather started off
their respective 2007 seasons in grand fashion, each scoring a pair of
wins at the March 10-11 double national race at Texas World Speedway.
Beginning his F Production title defense, Jesse
wheeled his No. 34 Prather Racing Mazda Miata to two dominating wins on
the 2.9-mile circuit. Jesse started both races from the pole and led
flag-to-flag, battling two-time E Production pole winner Tom Thrash for
the overall win on Sunday before Thrash's car suffered a mechanical
failure. That left Jesse in the clear to win overall, beating not only the
F Production field, but also the entire E Production field.
Six-time SCCA National Champion Kent started off his
G Production season in grand fashion, scoring twin wins in the No. 26
Prather Racing/Moss Motors/Goodyear MG A, setting a new track record in
the process.
Bob Bramlage made the successful debut of Prather
Racing's latest Mazda Miata, finishing third in the Sunday race. Andy
Hauck helped make it a Prather 1-2-3 on Sunday's grid by qualifying
second, between Prather and Bramlage.
Hauck also made the SCCA debut of his new
Prather-tuned Porsche 911 GT3 in the GT-2 class, finishing second in
Sunday's race.
The TWS wins, in addition to Eric Prill's MSR-Houston
win in February, bring Prather Racing engines win total to five in six
tries in 2007 SCCA National competition.
